Christmas Wishes

Christmas Eve we opened jammies left by "Santa's Helpers".

Christmas morning we didn't get up until 9am! So, we ate breakfast first, then we opened presents. I was able to keep the boys from seeing the tree until after we ate and I got a great picture of Porter's face when he saw what Santa brought him.
Here is a close up of that surprised little face.

Porter received boots and gloves from Santa and he was lucky enough that it snowed on Sunday. I let Porter run around a little bit after church in his new digs. He LOVED it.
We had a wonderful Christmas and I hope you all did too!

My boys hyper. . . No Way!

Recently my mom told her that my children are very "busy". Well, yes. They actually are. Here are some recent pictures of the so called "busy"-ness.
Josh has been very sick with a cold. In fact, he has had a fever of 102 degrees all day. When I got home, I watched the boys (while doing homework) so Josh could lay down. This is how they entertained themselves.
Notice porter playing "golf".

A few weeks ago we did family pictures. Trying to get a good one with the boys in the leaves was a miserable experience for everyone, but the boys of course.

Sunday morning we always take baths before church (This will soon come to an end since next year we will have the 9am schedule!) This is would be Bryson SCREAMING because he didn't get to take a bath first. He even stood at the closed bathroom door pounding on it and sobbing while Porter happily played in the tub.
Then, it was Porter's turn to cry because his tub time was over. He was very mad at me.
So, as you can see, my boys are not hyper at all. Just busy!

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We were so lucky to spend time with my sister and her family. To get ready for Thanksgiving (and because I was so bored Wed night) Porter and I made sugar cookies.
Thursday evening we frosted our cookies at Grammy Coral's house.

Stake Conference

So, it snowed last night. I was shocked by how much it snowed! We had stake conference this morning and dug our way out. I don't know if I'm ready for this!

Saturday Is A Special Day

For those of you who loved the last bed head, I've posted some more. I love these!
Saturday is really the only day that I can spend with my kids. So, today I decided to do some coloring, cutting and sticker activities.
First Porter made a Thanksgiving Turkey.
Then he practiced cutting, which he wanted to do for the rest of day. But, since he found the sharpest scissors in the house, I had to nix that after about half an hour.
He did stickers.
And made a paper sack puppet.
Bryson did some coloring of his own until he was so tired that I put him down for a nap. But, he LOVES to color!
More cutting.

And finally, some gluing.
We all had a great time.

Waking up is hard to do

Around here, Bryson is best known for his bedhead!
When I went back to Zions Bank, I knew that it would be a blessing for me. It really has been. I have been so very grateful for the position. Even more of a blessing, I received a promotion to branch supervisor in the same branch that I have been working in. I am so excited for this opportunity and the blessing from Heavenly Father.

Halloween Extravaganza

All Hallows Eve we carved pumpkins. Well, acually I did and Joshua did, but Porter is leathal with a knife, so he did NOT carve anything.

We also made homemade rootbeer, which both boys were thrilled about. At first, Bryson was scared to death, but once he got over that, he loved it.
This was my ridiculous costume. I was the Queen of Hearts, just in case you couldn't tell.

It rained and rained when we did our trick or treating, but just as we went to the last house, the most lovely rainbow came out and it was a great night.

5 Days Before Halloween

Do you see this! I was shocked to wake up this morning and have to clean off 5 inches of snow from my car. How does this happen on October 26th? I don't think I'm ready for this!

Harry Porter. . . I mean Potter.

In honor of the upcoming Harry Potter movie next month, we had a Harry Potter marathon. When Porter was a baby, we found the funniest glasses. He was our little Harry Porter. I always want to say that now when we talk about Harry Potter.

Now my little Harry Porter is a big boy! He has decided all on his own to be potty trained. We are so excited.
Here are pictures from our marathon this weekend.
Bryson has discovered the joy of climbing.
He was ready for me to stop taking pictures.
So was Porter.
