Shave and a Haircut

My camera is still broken. But, since we will be going to my mom's house, I will get some pictures from her of my cute kids.

Have you ever had to vacuum out your dryer? Well, I have. Porter took a scoop of powder laundry detergent and dumped it in the dryer. I had to vacuum it out before I could dry my clothes. It's funny. He watches us pour the detergent in the washer and was just doing what we do.

On another Porter note, I gave him a haircut last night. I usually just use the clippers. So, I trimmed it and it looked great. I called Josh in to trim around Porter's ears. But... Josh thought I had left a sizer on the clippers and took a HUGE chunk out of his hair. There was no way to fix it, so Porter got his head shaved all the way to the scalp. It makes his eyes look so huge and his eye lashes so long.

Camera broken, again. . . .GRRR!

Once again I am unable to take photos. That is why I haven't posted on my blog in such a long time. Sorry about that.

As usual, we are busy. Three of my patients are in the hospital because they fell and broke something. Right now tally is an elbow, hip and arm. I do feel bad for them, but it sucks for me because it is less money that I make in the month.

We had a nice Thanksgiving. We are looking forward to Christmas, even if we aren't allowed to have a Christmas tree this year, thank Porter for that.

Bryson is almost crawling and still a happy boy and Porter still is the energizer bunny at our house.

Halloween Is My FAVORITE Holiday (after Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter . . .)

I really do love Halloween. My kids are so dang cute!! We decided to carve pumpkins. So, while I carved, Porter did his favorite thing- eat tortilla chips and nacho cheese. That's my boy!

This was Porter's 1st year going trick-or-treating, so I really needed to get a costume. However, with our limited funds, I wasn't sure how to go about that. Thanksfully, Josh's mom saved some costumes that she had for her kids. So we dug through them and found one that fit (Porter, not me). It's a bunny and some of you may liken it to the pink bunny outfit from "A Christmas Story". Don't be confused!! It's yellow, not pink. It's a costume, not some kind of torturous outfit to wear around town. And finally, Porter actually liked it quite a bit.

My mom was so sweet and bought a darling giraffe costume for my little guy. He looked liked a little giraffe/angel. Don't worry, no one slapped Bryson prior to this photo. That's just how he looks in pictures :)

As most of you know, I never miss the opportunity to dress wacky and make my hair pink. Therefore, I dressed up as "Mrs. Slocombe". If you don't know who she is, there was a little British show called "Are you being served?" that has 13 seasons. She is on that. Here are some pics of her.
Finally, here is my so cute family. We went to the Fall Festival that our ward did the weekend before Halloween. Porter looks annoyed. But, it was because he wanted to slobber all over the pumpkin (aka kisses and loves) and I made him sit on it. I'm such a mean mom.

Broken Camera and Tooth

So, I had to take a picture of Porter's broken tooth. It is horrible looking and drives me nuts. But, it isn't hurting him or a problem, so we are going to just not worry about it right now. However, I really wanted everyone to see the damage. I took a couple of pics and when I put the photo cartridge in my computer it gave me all kinds of errors. I put it back into my camera and my camera said it was no longer usable. Sigh. . . So, no pictures right now. But, I have drawn some pictures and attached them to symbolize the photos I would have taken. The first photo is Porter's tooth. Notice the moon shaped chunk missing on the front tooth. The second is something really super exciting at our house. Porter has started potty training (his choice, he asked). He has gone pee a few times and is thinking about pooping. The last one is Bryson on the floor, getting ready to crawl and crying because he is stuck and Porter standing over him laughing. Remember, these are all drawings based on real photos I lost on my camera. PS: no applause or money needed for my fine art.

Don't worry, I have procured a camera to take Halloween pictures. No symbolization there.

Have you ever been to the circus?

Have you ever been to the circus? Well, I haven't, but I imagine it would go something like this . . .

The Amazing Porter tries to climb back into the tub after his bath. The Head Clown (aka mother) tries to grab him in a death defying feat. As the crowd gasps in horror the Amazing Porter falls, smacking his mouth on the tub and chipping his tooth. Don't worry folks, it's all part of the show!

They call me the toddler. . .

How do you make the sweetest baby ever even more cute? Answer: record him laughing when he has lost his voice.

Have you ever spent time with a 2 yr old? Well, I have and can I just say that each day I find more wrinkles and one more gray strand of hair. Click on the link below and listen carefully (but ignore the child that they have in the video). While it is playing, look at the following pictures of the adorable (even if he does make me crazy) Porter.

How much crap do you need to jump on a 3 ft trampoline? A LOT. Just ask Porter.

Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen, I can walk all the way to the wall and back! I let no stairs fear me, not even 13 of them!

No, really, I'm not sneaking into the fridge. No mom, I haven't figured out the fridge lock. No, I'm serious mom, I would never sneak candy, soda or cheese sticks. Mom! I would never use this conveniently sized stool for my naughty adventure.

So Busy

I have been so darn busy lately!! I usually try to change my blog background at the beginning of the month, but I just haven't had time. For the last 2 weeks I have been attending a CNA class at night from 5 to 10 pm and this last week, I started my new job. So, I was working all day and going to school at night. It has been rough, but I have loved it and I really love my new job. I am working for a Home Health company and they are great.

Something to look forward to, I will be posting some info on the suicidal elf (aka the toddler)

Fun At the Zoo

I LOVE the zoo. So, for my birthday me, Porter and Bryson went to the Hogle Zoo. Josh had to work, so I packed up the boys and away we went! We had a wonderful time. There were so many baby animals. This year, they have had the following babies born: Orangutan, Giraffe, Meerkats, Elephant, Tiger cubs and Snow Leopards. As usual, we couldn't see the tigers and it was hard to get good pics of the meerkats or snow leopards through glass. So, we only have pics of the others. The elephant was DARLING!! He was my favorite.

You've Had A Birthday, Shout Hooray!

Porter turned 2 on Sunday. We had some friends over and had a little party on Saturday night. I made him a cake that had "dirt" and trucks. I thought it was awesome. He was more excited about the trucks than the actual cake. On Sunday we visited Grammy Coral and Grandpa Dan. Both Grandma Lila and Grandma Betty were there too. Porter got a 2nd cake, via Grammy Coral. It was frog. It was super cute. It made me realize that my cake decorating skills are pretty slim. Anyway, it turned out to be a great weekend and I ate too much food. Good thing diets can start over on Mondays.

Funny Boys

Porter has decided that he LOVES clam chowder. (Not my favorite soup choice, except when it's from Skippers. . . MMMM Skippers. . .) Anyway, he made a complete mess with it and when he was done eating, he mushed it in his hands and rubbed it on his face like lotion. I especially like the celery chunk stuck to his face right below his eye in the pic below.

These pics of Bryson are so funny! The first one he was so happy to see me and excited that I came to get him. Notice the enthusiasm and smile on his drooling face.
Now, notice that the enthusiasm and smile are gone and irritation has set in when he realized that I wasn't going to pick him up and all I was doing was taking more pictures. He was pretty mad. Good thing he forgets quickly.

Manhood Protection

Aren't we a cute family!! I wish that things were as calm and happy as we look in this picture. On Aug 20th (the day after our 4th anniversary) I got to come home from painting the condo (in a desperate attempt to get it sold) to find out that Josh went to the emergency room. He woke up with chest pains and could feel his heart beating strangely. They did some tests in the ER and we found out the his left sensory bundle (whatever that is) is not functioning normally. However, it looks like it should not be a threat and the chest pains were probably really bad acid reflux. Sigh. . . .I hope he is ok.
But onto the funnies. Porter found Josh's manhood protector (his cup). He was walking around holding it to his crotch, so Josh tied it onto Porter and he LOVED IT!! I took some pics. He is so funny!! Lately his demands include gum, condiments and watching TV in bed with mom.
