Merry Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas to ALL!!
We hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas! We were very blessed. My boys were so excited that every picture I have of them is blurry.

Tis the season

Tis the season for holiday fun! We made glitter snowflakes for our ward Christmas party and hung them in the Santa room.

Bryson was a little skeptical of Santa and didn't do much talking.
Porter was much more comfortable (this being his 5th yr with Santa) and finally Santa had to tell him to leave so the other kids could get a turn. I couldn't hear what he asked for, but I did catch him saying lots of things that had to do with Spiderman.
Porter rarely will let me take pictures of him, so this one is a gem!
While Josh and I went to my work Christmas party Grammy watched the boys. They had a great time making a gingerbread house!

A tradition for many... not so much for us.

I LOVE to go see the lights at temple square. I think it is so fun to see all the decorations and enjoy the cold weather and walk around seeing the temple in such a different aspect. My husband on the other hand.... he doesn't. He hates the cold and driving downtown and walking around and thinks it all looks the same every year, so why bother going. Hence, we haven't been since Porter was one. This year I convinced him to go and we all had a lovely time.
The new Deseret Book store in City Creek has a large store front and the boys thought this train thing was pretty cool, which it was.
This was the only picture I could get the boys to pose for. They are not big on picture taking.
There were many nativity scenes set up and I took some pictures of them.

The old ZCMI building is now owned by Macy's. They decorated their windows this year. They did giant tree ornaments made out of candy. It was hard to get a good picture of them through glass and tons of people.
This one is Santa. I loved his beard. It is all mini candy canes.
This is a beehive.
This is a green ornament (Porter's favorite).
This one is really hard to see. It is little scenes inside the boxes and a train that circled the bottom. It was really cool, especially since it was all made from candy.
The temple was beautiful and I always get teary when I see it with the lights.
It was hard to get a good picture of the nativity on the reflecting pond. But it was really nice in front of the temple.

Better Late Than Never

Due to a broken computer, I've not been able to do any updates on my blog. So, these are better late than never!
Here are my Halloween Super Heros, Spiderman and Iron Man.
Super hero poses.
At the ward party.
They loved playing in the leaves before the snow storm came.

Then the snow came!
And came...
Here is just a little funny... I asked Bryson to bring me a tissue so I could blow my nose. Here is what I got. Ha Ha!

Fall Fun

A couple of weeks ago, my mom came down and we tried to go to Gardner Village, but it was so busy and crowded, that we went to Wheeler Farm instead. The boys had so much fun!
Here is the chicken that Porter ran down. This was as close as he could get, but I thought that was pretty good.

We fed the ducks and geese. This one took the bread right out of Josh's hand.
They were swarming a bit. I finally had to take the boys out because the geese were as tall as the boys and was worried they would peck at their little faces.

We were able to go to Gardner Village during UEA weekend.
