Happy 4th Birthday Bryson!

Before I begin with the birthday festivities, Porter received a special award at pre-school. When another child in class was crying he went over to her and put his arm around her and helped her to feel better and invited her back to group. He is such a sweet boy! I am SO proud of him!
Here is my cute boy, 4 yrs old and ready to take on the world! Too bad he fell on his face right before his birthday. It left a nasty "wound" under his nose.
Grammy took us all to the Children's Museum. It was so much fun! Bryson loved the trains.
Porter loved the dinosaurs!
This is a tiny picture of Bryson bring the doctor. If you can see his face up close he is yelling at me. There was a picture of a skeleton on the wall and it scared him. He was yelling at me to stop taking pictures and come save him.
President Porter in the White House.
The boys participated in the story time and got to dress up. Bryson was the duck and Porter was the rooster.
Bryson had a great time at the castle. He kept taking the horses across the bridge.
Porter got to be an astronaut.
They practiced their farming skills.
And their rodeo skills, getting ready to ride with Grandpa Dan.
This picture is blurry due to the frantic running around on Bryson's part. He was so excited he could hardly stand still.
We opened presents and had cake and ice cream on Sunday. Bryson picked his favorite meal for dinner, which he decided was fried chicken.
Here are pictures of opening presents. He was smiling so hard it looks like a grimace.
Here is his blowing out the candles.
What a fun birthday!

Porter is washing her feet.
Snuggling with daddy.
Porter insisting on holding her.
The one and only time Bryson held her.

Happy Easter

We did our annual egg coloring. I told Porter about the time when he was about 2 yrs old and he thought the egg coloring was so delicious and he drank it all gone. He found that pretty funny. So, he tried it again this year, just a sip. He did not find it much to his liking. Too bad I didn't get a picture of his gagging face! Ha ha!
Every year I have put the dye into cups and we did one egg at a time. Ummm, that was dumb. So, this year I put it in bowls and did lots of eggs at a time. How did I not think of this years ago? All the eggs were done in 10 minutes!
We made monster eggs this year. They were so cute!
I took a picture of both of the boys deep in crafting/decorating thoughtfulness.
Notice the hot glue gun. No Easter egg decorating is complete without one!
Easter morning came and I really wanted to get up and be a part of it, but I was so exhausted from working all night that I didn't make it. Josh took some pictures while I dozed in bed, listening to their screams of delight!
They both got a slap bracelet. Bryson thought his was a mustache.
I took this funny picture today. This blur is Porter jumping over the giant dog that lives at our house.
Here they are, Porter holding still for two seconds so I could snap this picture. This is Josh's dad's dog. He is HUGE.
We also went to visit Grammy today. The boys were so excited to see the horses that they ran down the field and climbed up the fence before we left the back yard.
