Does This Picture Look Familiar?

After giving Bryson a bath, I went into the front room to get Porter in the shower and much to my surprise, found him applying his own lotion liberally to his face. It was from a jar of Eucerine that I only use about once a year and he was dipping a Q-tip in the jar and shmearing it around his face, hands and feets.
Why is this funny? Well, about, oh I would say 26 years ago, my mother came into my bedroom and so pleased to find me in there with a jar of- oh yes it was- a jar of Eucerine and I was proudly shmearing it on my face. She has a picture of the experience in our family photos.
I guess it just goes to show that when your parents curse you to have a child just like yourself, it really does happen.

Easter Extravaganza

Last weekend our church had an Easter eggg hunt and bbq. Porter hada great time and it was such nice weather. He got about 8 eggs, which was great because last year he only got 3.
On the Saturday before Easter, the neighbors had a blcok party and did and egg hunt too. Porter loved it. However, he is usually shoving the candy from the eggs in his mouth as fast as he can find them.
These last few days I have tried to really cherish the time I've had with my family. Though Porter was sick and we didn't get to go to all the things that I had planned, we got to be together as a family. We spent time together, we played and we just enjoyed being with each other. Honestly, knowing that I start school and so much of my family time will be limited starting tomorrow, is really scary. But, I know this is the path that Heavenly Father has sent me down and I know that it will bless me and my family.
Here are a few more pictures of my cute kids.

Easter Eve

To prepare for the Easter Extravaganza, we dyed our eggs. Unlike last year, Porter did NOT drink the egg coloring water. I was so proud of him. It was a real temptation, but he was so big and overcame his deep dye drinking desires.

As you can see. This egg dyeing is very serious business.
On the other hand, we had to do something to keep Mr. Bryson busy. When he is bored, he screams like a very loud parakeet. So, I gave him an oreo cookie. Yes, that is his new favorite thing!

I don't know why his pictures don't come out as well as Porter's. I think it is because he doesn't hold still so the camera takes a little more grainy quality. But, I am just grateful to have a camera that works (thanks mom!).
