Marathon

Though I have never ran a marathon, or ran at all since high school, I would think that if I did, it would feel much like this last weekend felt. Alison drove up from Las Vegas and on Friday we all went out to dinner at the Red Iguana. I tried to get a picture with all the grandkids, but Emma was being contained by her highchair, so she missed out.
After dinner we went to the International Peace Gardens in Salt Lake. Faerynn tried out the stroller. She's a little lop-sided.
Getting a picture with all the kids was like herding chickens. Just as one got into place, two wandered off.
Porter told me he was mountain man here.
Friday night I had to work 11 pm to 7 am. Then, Saturday we went to the zoo.
After the zoo I went home and got to bed at about 5 pm. I was up a full 24 hrs and I was very proud of myself for making it without any crying meltdowns.
Sunday Faerynn had her blessing. It was beautiful and I cried the whole time. I must be hormonal ;)
She has decided to start smiling. SO CUTE!!
Sunday evening we went up to Grammy's before Alison had to leave. This is the only picture we could get of all 6 grandkids. Emma's hysterical and Faerynn is wailing. But, at least the big kids are smiling.
I snapped this one today. Porter was snuggling with his little sister watching a movie. He is such a sweet big brother. She was sound asleep.
Here are some more smiles.
Though it may have been a Lonnnnnng weekend, it was great! I always love to be with my family!

Preschool Graduation

Today Porter and Bryson attended their Preschool graduation. They went to preschool with a lady in our ward. She is so darling and did a fantastic job! I really appreciate all she did for my boys. They learned so much and absolutely LOVED school. I am so grateful for Miss Vanessa and everything she taught my kiddos.
Here is Porter and his MVBF (most very best friend) Will. All year we heard all about Will and I'm sure his mom heard all about us too!
They sang some of the fun songs they learned. Unfortunately, my phone will NOT take clear moving pictures, so everything is a little blurry, but still cute!
This cute song they are singing about gum drops and lemon drops raining from the sky, so of course they have their mouths open, ready to eat all those wonderful candies!
Here they are flying their kites, up to the highest height!
Miss Vanessa brought each kid up and said a little something special about each one. She said that Bryson is so smart and does awesome with math.
Porter said that something he loved to learn in school this year was about dinosaurs when the dinos were in a hard egg that the kids got to break open. Miss Vanessa also talked about how sweet and creative Porter is.
Afterwards, the boys got to run around a little with their friends before we said goodbye for the summer.
Porter and Will again. The very best of friends!
What an awesome and fun year this has been for them!

FHE

We have been trying to be more diligent about Family Home Evening. Last week we read a little book about CTR rings and remembering to choose the right. Then, I made CTR shields for the boys to color. Porter colored his and Bryson decided to draw his own. He is pretty talented at 4yrs old.
Miss Faerynn turned 1 month old on May 8th. Here are her commemorative photos.
Every night I put the boys to bed in their bed and it doesn't take long for them to migrate into my bed. Here they are "snuggling."
For FHE this week we went to the Jordan River Temple and let the boys see the temple, flowers and fountain. They loved it and the whole way there, every time we passed a church they would shout in joy "THERE'S THE TEMPLE!!!" and I would have to tell them that it was only a church. You can imagine their excitement when we finally reached the actual temple.
They jumped out of the car and ran to the light posts and immediately pretended to be statues. It was too cute!
Here are some pictures we took. It was really hard to get a good picture because of the sun.
Bryson really was smiling in this one, but it looks like he is having a meltdown.
Porter posed for this one all on his own. No lessons were needed from me ;)
We had a great time and the boys were so happy they got to go to temple.
