Happy Easter

We did our annual egg coloring. I told Porter about the time when he was about 2 yrs old and he thought the egg coloring was so delicious and he drank it all gone. He found that pretty funny. So, he tried it again this year, just a sip. He did not find it much to his liking. Too bad I didn't get a picture of his gagging face! Ha ha!
Every year I have put the dye into cups and we did one egg at a time. Ummm, that was dumb. So, this year I put it in bowls and did lots of eggs at a time. How did I not think of this years ago? All the eggs were done in 10 minutes!
We made monster eggs this year. They were so cute!
I took a picture of both of the boys deep in crafting/decorating thoughtfulness.
Notice the hot glue gun. No Easter egg decorating is complete without one!
Easter morning came and I really wanted to get up and be a part of it, but I was so exhausted from working all night that I didn't make it. Josh took some pictures while I dozed in bed, listening to their screams of delight!
They both got a slap bracelet. Bryson thought his was a mustache.
I took this funny picture today. This blur is Porter jumping over the giant dog that lives at our house.
Here they are, Porter holding still for two seconds so I could snap this picture. This is Josh's dad's dog. He is HUGE.
We also went to visit Grammy today. The boys were so excited to see the horses that they ran down the field and climbed up the fence before we left the back yard.

April 15th

April 15th is going to be D-Day (delivery day). My Dr. scheduled the induction at the hospital yesterday. That only give us a month to have fun before our new addition comes. So, today we went to the zoo. I was confident that I would be fine walking all day. But, it was pretty exhausting.

The Hogle Zoo has changed quite a bit over the last 2 years (since my last time there). Some of it is great and we loved it. Some of it was a little disappointing. They are in the middle of major renovations and you really only get half of the zoo experience, until the construction is done. But, at least we had coupons and the kids got in free.
I would have taken a picture of the rhino's, but all we could see was their gigantic butts. So, we settled for option B, the statue.
Porter really did want me to take the picture, but the sun was in his eyes and he wouldn't look at me.
This is in front of the new polar bear exhibit. It was very cool.
These are the new polar bear statues. Apparently other children don't know that they need to get out of the picture if it isn't their mother taking it. :)
Overall, despite my huffing and puffing from walking the hills and being 8 mo pregnant, it was fun and we always enjoy our time together as a family!
