Teeth & A Boy Who Cried Spider

As many of you know, Porter had some dental work done on Tuesday. His two front teeth were pretty bad. The dentist was hoping that he would be able to save both of them, but once he got in there, he saw that the broken tooth was completely dead and needed to be pulled. The other damaged tooth was healthy enough that he put a crown on it. Here is a before and after.

He did so well and was so cute when he was sedated. It made him pretty loopy and at one point he looked at me and said, "Mom, I love you." Then he licked my neck. It was so funny.

I have a little story to tell from Sunday. It is a little long, but worth it! There once was a little boy (named Porter) who was very naughty and was told to stand in the corner. He cried and sobbed that there was a spider in the corner. His mother (being very dutiful) felt that no boy should have to stand in the corner with a spider. So, she looked everywhere and couldn't find one at all. A couple of hours later, Porter was being very naughty, again. He was told to stand in the corner and again he cried and sobbed that there was a spider. Again, his mother looked and found nothing. This happened 2 or 3 more times and by then his mother was pretty tired of looking for spiders that weren't there. Finally, at dinner time, Porter was again banished to the corner. This time he was hysterical by the "spider" in the corner. Finally, his very tired mother, went to force that naughty boy to stand in the corner and guess what she found. . . that's right, a SPIDER!!! So, what do we learn from this story? That's right, there is nothing more horrible than a spider in the corner you have to stand in!!
