Fun At the Zoo

I LOVE the zoo. So, for my birthday me, Porter and Bryson went to the Hogle Zoo. Josh had to work, so I packed up the boys and away we went! We had a wonderful time. There were so many baby animals. This year, they have had the following babies born: Orangutan, Giraffe, Meerkats, Elephant, Tiger cubs and Snow Leopards. As usual, we couldn't see the tigers and it was hard to get good pics of the meerkats or snow leopards through glass. So, we only have pics of the others. The elephant was DARLING!! He was my favorite.

You've Had A Birthday, Shout Hooray!

Porter turned 2 on Sunday. We had some friends over and had a little party on Saturday night. I made him a cake that had "dirt" and trucks. I thought it was awesome. He was more excited about the trucks than the actual cake. On Sunday we visited Grammy Coral and Grandpa Dan. Both Grandma Lila and Grandma Betty were there too. Porter got a 2nd cake, via Grammy Coral. It was frog. It was super cute. It made me realize that my cake decorating skills are pretty slim. Anyway, it turned out to be a great weekend and I ate too much food. Good thing diets can start over on Mondays.

Funny Boys

Porter has decided that he LOVES clam chowder. (Not my favorite soup choice, except when it's from Skippers. . . MMMM Skippers. . .) Anyway, he made a complete mess with it and when he was done eating, he mushed it in his hands and rubbed it on his face like lotion. I especially like the celery chunk stuck to his face right below his eye in the pic below.

These pics of Bryson are so funny! The first one he was so happy to see me and excited that I came to get him. Notice the enthusiasm and smile on his drooling face.
Now, notice that the enthusiasm and smile are gone and irritation has set in when he realized that I wasn't going to pick him up and all I was doing was taking more pictures. He was pretty mad. Good thing he forgets quickly.
